This policy explains what information Verdict collects, how it is used, and the choices you have — including deleting your account and data at any time.
This page is an informational draft describing Verdict's current data practices. It is not a substitute for advice from qualified legal counsel.
Information we collect
Account information (username, email), documents you upload to your collections, the cases and hearing transcripts you generate, and basic usage/technical data (timestamps, error logs, rate-limit counters) needed to operate the service reliably.
How we use information
To extract and index the legal sources you select, build source-grounded practice cases, run the AI Judge hearing, generate performance scores, and maintain your saved drafts, published cases, and practice history.
AI processing and third parties
Selected source text, case details, and hearing submissions are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) solely to generate case content, judge responses, and scores. Account data and files are stored with Supabase (database and file storage). We do not sell personal data.
Retention and your rights
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete an individual source, draft, or case at any time, or permanently delete your entire account and all associated data from your Profile page — this action cannot be undone.
Cookies and local storage
Verdict uses essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and cache your current case/session locally for a smoother experience. These are not used for third-party advertising.
Children's privacy
Verdict is intended for use by students, professors, and institutions in an educational context under the applicable supervision of their school. It is not directed at children under 13 outside of a supervised classroom account managed by an educator.
